ONE DIRECTION ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE 'PERFECT' AND RELEASE DATE

One Direction's next Made in the A.M. single's accidentally been announced as 'Perfect' thanks to a classic tweet-and-delete scenario from those crazy critters at Apple Music. Awkies.

Yup - we already knew the Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson-penned tune hadbeen registered; but now it looks like the track's gonna be the second proper single off of the fifth album following 'Drag Me Down.' And 'Infinity,' if you wanna count that.

So basically this tweet unexpectedly popped up all over errybody's timelines earlier:

Then came the official confirmation from 1D themselves and with the cat out of the bag,
both Harry and Liam took to the Twitter to reveal the news properly.

Hooray - or should we say per-fect?

Then came the official release date and artwork from 1D HQ,
which has been confirmed as October 16th aka next Friday.
There's also some BIG details confirming rumours that it's a track co-written by many,
including Harry and Louis.

Here's what the official press release says, word for word:

"The biggest pop band in the world One Direction announce their brand new single 'Perfect'.
The second single to be lifted from their eagerly anticipated fifth album 'Made In The A.M.'
will be released globally on Friday 16th October 2015.

"'Perfect' is an emotionally charged ironic love song featuring passionate drumming,
rousing guitars, shimmering synths and an immense chorus.
The song is produced by Julia Bunetta, Jesse Shatkin and
AFTERHRS and written by Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson alongside Bunetta,
Shatkin, Jacob Kasher, John Ryan and Maureen Anne McDonald."
