Getting a good night’s sleep on a hot day is no easy task, especially without air conditioning, but there are plenty of things you can do to beat the heat. This graphic from the folks at the Sleep Matters Club is packed with tips
Some of the tips are ones you may have thought of—keeping air moving and circulating around your room with a fan or open window (which doesn’t lower the temperature, but the sensation makes it feel cooler than it is, and encourages evaporation of your sweat!), or freezing a hot water bottle, wrapping it in a towel, and keeping it in bed with you as a chilly, cuddly bed partner. Putting a bowl of ice in front of your fan earns a mention too, as well as sleeping “egyptian style,” or covered with a slightly damp sheet and nothing else. Check out the graphic below for more.
